Glowing worms and beans in northern Uganda

I have received this feedback from northern Uganda. As you will see they are using Hibiscus to help solve the problem of glowing worms and I was wondering if you have any better/different ideas as it it seems a waste of Hibiscus!

"The main constraints I realized that was not easy to handle is glowing worms that has been in the past two years claim all the planted beans in the first two weeks of July in Gum Peloke, but then I got the solution for it to be intercropped with Hibiscus species since glowing worms like it much better than beans and by the time Hibiscus is finished, beans have already grown up hard, such that they can’t no longer eat their lives. "
